About Employer
We are building the $2.6 billion facilities (phase 1, 2) in Commerce, GA which is the largest economic development deal in Georgia in more than decade ago, and will generate over 2,000 jobs over the next few years.
The employer has successfully applied high energy density ternary materials to lithium-ion batteries in the electric vehicle battery industry for mass production. Based on such technological capabilities, the employer signed supply contracts with major global automakers, Ford, Hyundai Motor Group, BAIC Group and including Daimler AG has been expanding the electric vehicle battery business.
It has partnered with major automakers and will produce batteries for electric vehicles that will shape the way of the future. Together, the facilities will reach a production capacity of 21.5 gigawatts, the equivalent of powering more than 400,000 vehicles.
Role and Responsibilities:
Production Performance Management
- Analyze, report, and continuously improve yield and operating ratio
- Monitor and continuously improve the speed of the unit manufacturing processes in assembly production
- Set KPIs and monitor progress
- Compute and report production results by model/daily total production
- Report key production activities/results/indicators on a weekly basis
Production Operation
- Monitor operating conditions (e.g. speed) in every stage electrode production
- Monitor and check whether semi-products comply with quality requirements including process and appearance specifications
- Monitor and audits the electrode manufacturing processes to ensure compliance of process regulations regarding treatments of malfunctions
- Monitor and audit the compliance of assembly manufacturing operation and management regulations
- Make an inquiry and provide advice for development and optimization of production- related IT systems (especially MES) and data verification system
Quality Management
- Take follow-up measures to deal with the quality issues
- Review and advise required process and resource regarding new product’s mass production in light of the 4M (Man, Machine, Material, Method)
- Respond to customer audits and take appropriate measures to meet customer’s products specifications and standards
- Respond to ISO/IATF certification process and customer gate evaluation
Production Cost Management
- Manage the production assets (equipment) and budgets for the investment and operation regarding the electrode production process
- Monitor and analyze the consumption of site materials and quantity of the semi-finished products, products pending, and the B-graded products regarding their effect on yield and unit manufacturing
Work Environment/Safety Management
- Manage and improve production environment in light of 3R (Right material, Right quantity, Right position) and 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
- Design and support countermeasure plan and take follow-up measures regarding preventing safety accidents
- Make sure that the shift leaders and operators are trained regularly and appropriately regarding potential safety risks
Materials/Inventory Management
- Support raw materials 4M verification process regarding electrode production (e.g. plans and arranges the schedule and the quantity of the new material transfer)
- Manage the consumption and inventory of raw materials(anodes, cathodes, active materials, solvents, foils) needed for electrode production
- Manage, maintain, and order accessory equipment including pallets, plates, and other pallet jacks

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with production management or production engineering/ battery, auto part, automobile industry with working knowledge of battery and quality control preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar programs preferred

Pay: $63,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
